Every September has one date circled in our calendar — and this year it matters more than ever. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 in the second week of September, and if the rumours are right, this launch breaks with tradition: no standard model this autumn. Here is everything we know, and how to make sure your new phone is dressed in leather from day one.

Which iPhone 18 models are coming?

According to the most consistent reports, this September Apple will present:

• iPhone 18 Pro
• iPhone 18 Pro Max
• Apple's first foldable iPhone — the headline act

The standard iPhone 18 is expected to move to spring 2027, which makes this autumn an all-Pro season.

The key dates (based on Apple's usual calendar)

• Keynote: expected around Tuesday, September 9
• Pre-orders: typically the Friday of the same week, around September 12
• In stores: around Friday, September 19
