Colours of the Season
The Spring Summer 2020 season has already chosen its favourite colours. Between the visual content —which is pure inspiration —provided by Instagram, the proposals of great designers that we could see on catwalks, and the collections that are already available for clients to purchase on the different digital platforms, we have identified 7 essential colours that should tint your wardrobe this season.
Pastel colours, subtle and delicate shades, are mixed with more vivid tones, such as fluorine, electric blue or fuchsia, offering dynamic proposals that follow this pattern to fill our wardrobe with joy. This season, versatility is the order of the day, with contrasting tones that combine very well with each other, allowing us to play at our choice:
1.Light yellow “Butter Cream”
A very refreshing proposal for this season. We could see it in Victoria Beckaham´s delicate dresses, in pull Joe´s cape dress or un Jacquemus´s famous XL jackets.
- Purple
It was already one of the most sought-after shades during this past winter season and is certainly a favourite this spring. A monastic colour that breaths majesty into the figure. We could see it in contrast with the orange in Balmain's proposals or in Valentino´s signature tulle garments, one of the most powerful colours presented by the Italian fashion house.
- White
The purest colour from the colour palette that becomes a “must” every summer, partly because it is the most flattering tone for this specific season, due to its contrast with the golden skin. Once again, the catwalk shows us its versatility. Super feminine proposals that combine materials such as tulle and lace, as seen in Simeone Rocha, Giambatistta Valli or Alexander MacQueen. In the case of Hermes, cleaner and sportier silhouettes thanks to materials such as leather.
- Fluorine
For those more daring, intense shades of phosphorescent green have made their way into the wardrobe as seen un Paul & Joe´s dresses, Versace´s vinyl-look trench coats or Christopher Kane´s cardigans
- Electric Blue
At the beginning of the year Pantone baptized blue as the colour of 2020, therefore, it is not surprising that this spring this powerful shade of the colour is one of the season´s favourites. The international catwalks left us proposals such as Salvatore Ferragamo's total looks, that even include a handbag, Marc Jacobs' tweed jackets or Eckhaus Latta's most festive sequin proposals.
- Soft Orange
A softer tone but still one of the most cheerful colours for summer 2020. Versace offers us a whiter orange in light vinyl parkas, Bottega Veneta in fur coats and Eckhaus Latta once again proposes this shade in its sequined dresses.
7.Fuchsia
A tone full of energy that fills the wardrobe with life an also gets the best out of any type of skin. This colour captured a large part of the Valentino Collection, especially in the dresses. Coach and Versace suggest more casual but equally appealing pieces for the long-awaited good weather.
